About Michał Woźniak

Michał Woźniak (born January 20, 1976, in Słupca, Poland) is a renowned painter, graphic artist, and sculptor whose works are featured in prestigious private and corporate collections in Poland and abroad. From an early age, his artistic talents were recognized and nurtured. His first steps in the art world were as a young illustrator collaborating with a regional newspaper, which laid the foundation for his artistic journey. He later pursued his passion for art at a specialized arts high school, which introduced him to a more professional approach to artistic creation.

Michał continued his education at the School of Applied Arts Schola Posnaniensis in Poznań, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2000 and his Master’s degree with distinction in 2007. Throughout his studies, he honed his skills in painting and graphic design, gaining valuable practical experience as a designer and artist.

Style and Technique

Michał Woźniak’s work spans a wide range of techniques and themes. His art explores the beauty of nature, architecture, human forms, and abstraction, while constantly opening new paths of expression. He experiments with traditional painting techniques, graphics, sculpture, and digital technologies, creating unique worlds on canvas, in physical spaces, and within virtual environments.

In recent years, he has been intensively exploring the possibilities of virtual reality, developing immersive artistic experiences that allow viewers to step inside his abstract compositions. This dialogue between traditional painting and digital art is reciprocal – digital works often inspire new canvases, while paintings become the starting point for virtual explorations. The fusion of both dimensions results in art that expands beyond the frame, inviting audiences to actively engage with its narrative.

His most significant series, such as “Landscapes of Memory” and “Photosensitive Stories”, are a synthesis of formal and intellectual explorations, combining aesthetic intensity with deep reflection. Michał also creates animation and video works that complement his visual practice, enriching his artistic language with temporal and sensory layers.

Exhibitions of his works are not only presentations of visual art but artistic events that deeply move audiences, engaging them both emotionally and perceptually, and drawing them into the world of his artistic narratives.

Exhibitions and Projects

Michał Woźniak has presented his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including prestigious venues such as GJB Gallery in Warsaw and Taśma Gallery in Poznań, as well as participating in major art events like the Film Art Festival “Prowincjonalia” and Art Fresh Festival in Warsaw.

His works often accompany cultural and business events, filling the spaces of modern office buildings, institutions, and representative venues. Michał has collaborated with numerous companies and corporations that have become patrons of his art, appreciating its value and ability to give spaces a unique character.

Sales and Collections

Michał’s artworks are part of esteemed collections held by art collectors and institutions, underscoring their investment potential and increasing value in the art market. He continues to expand his commercial activities, creating bespoke projects for private clients and corporations, who often lease his works to enhance their interiors.

Educational Activities and Publications

Michał is also deeply involved in educational activities, supporting the development of young artists as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts at the Poznań University of Social Sciences, where he served as Vice Dean and later Dean. His commitment to education culminated in co-authoring the book “The Wisdom of Art” with Professor Andrzej Banachowicz, which summarizes his experiences in teaching and fostering creativity among young creators.

Artistic Philosophy

Michał Woźniak views art as an endless field of exploration, where every painting, sculpture, or digital illustration represents a distinct world full of emotions and profound meanings. His credo is based on the pursuit of authenticity and personal expression, making each work unique and resonant with audiences on multiple levels. Michał’s art not only decorates spaces but also enriches them with new experiences and sensations, inviting viewers to engage in deeper reflections on reality.
